The Leaf at Assiniboine Park will soon be home to a new display.
Birdsong & Boughs: A Holiday Migration will end on Jan. 12. Following that, the biomes at The Leaf will close for three days while horticulture experts prepare for a new exhibit.
During the closure, the Babs Asper Display House will be transformed in preparation for the opening of Fleurs de Villes ARTISTE.
The new display, expected to draw in large crowds starting Jan. 16, will feature 15 one-of-a-kind floral mannequins created by local floral designers, inspired by Manitoba’s arts and cultural scene.
At the end of the Fleurs de Villes ARTISTE show, the biomes will be closed again from January 27 – 29, while The Leaf horticulture team once again transforms the Babs Asper Display House in preparation for the opening of a new display – Blooms in Winter: An Orchid Celebration.
The biomes will re-open on Thursday, January 30 and resume regular hours of operation (open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.).
