Today marks one year since the disappearance of 81-year-old Earl Moberg, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who went missing on December 12, 2023, in Winnipeg.
The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) and Moberg’s family are renewing their plea to the public for any information that could help bring him home.
Moberg was last seen in the River East area of Winnipeg on the evening of December 12, 2023, between 6 and 7 p.m. Despite an initial Silver Alert and extensive searches over the past year, he has not been found.
Described as 5’7” with a medium build, Moberg has short white hair and a white beard. He was last seen wearing a dark blue parka. His family has endured immense hardship during this time, holding out hope for answers and the chance to reunite with their loved one.
The Missing Persons Unit of the WPS continues to actively investigate Moberg’s disappearance and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
“We remain committed to finding Earl and ask the community to keep an eye out for anything that might help,” said a spokesperson for the Missing Persons Unit. “Our thoughts are with Earl’s family as they navigate this incredibly difficult anniversary.”
The community’s support has been crucial in past investigations, and police are asking for that continued assistance.
If you have any information about Earl Moberg’s whereabouts or saw anything on the night of his disappearance, please contact the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 204-986-6250.
The family and WPS are hopeful that someone, somewhere, might have the key to resolving this heartbreaking case. Let’s come together as a community to help bring Earl home.
