Police investigating Windsor Park homicide

Police in Winnipeg are investigating a homicide which occurred in the early morning hours of Friday, December 27.

The WPS says that the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service notified them that paramedics were providing emergency medical care to an adult male in the 900 block of Dugas Street in Windsor Park just after 4:30 a.m.

Police say that the victim had sustained injuries consistent with being assaulted.

East District General Patrol officers responded to the scene and confirmed that an adult male victim had been assaulted and was suffering from serious injuries.

The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries.

The Homicide Unit assumed the investigation. The victim has not been identified and the investigation is continuing.
