Police still looking for help in solving year-old homicide

The Homicide Unit continues to search for answers to a murder that occurred over a year ago. 

Oct. 14, 2024 marks one year since 24-year-old Joseph Campbell from Winnipeg was killed. The Homicide Unit asks the public for assistance in locating the persons of interest. 

At approximately 1:20 a.m. on Oct. 14, 2023, Campbell was grievously assaulted by a group of individuals in the 300 block of Keenleyside Street. The suspects fled the area, and Campbell subsequently succumbed to his injuries.

Following the investigation, three males have been identified as persons of interest as they were observed in the area at the time of the murder. Anyone with information regarding the identity of these males is asked to contact investigators.

Investigators in the Homicide Unit believe individuals may still have valuable information that will assist in the investigation. The Campbell family would like the investigation resolved to bring peace and closure to their family.
