A light dusting of snow Tuesday into Wednesday has made for a slippery morning commute.
Several collisions have slowed traffic including a rollover on St. Mary’s Road just past Britannica that broke a hydro pole and led to downed power lines.
It has also left approximately 1300 customers without power in the area and two intersections, including St. Mary’s and Britannica and Dakota and Novavista, without any traffic signals.
A fire truck is on scene redirecting traffic onto Britannica. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and find another route.
Hydro crews are looking into insolating the affected area for repair so they can get as many customers back on service.
It is unclear as to when power will be fully restored.
