A busy section of Portage Avenue is closed Friday morning following a serious collision.
Just before 8 a.m., emergency crews were called to the intersection of Portage Avenue and Bedson Street.
There are reports that the collision involved more than one vehicle. The crash also knocked down a nearby bus shelter and severely damaged a hydro pole.
There is no word on injuries at this time.
As a result, Portage Avenue is closed in both directions between Cavalier Drive and David Street.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and find another route.
