A busy section of Portage Avenue is closed Sunday morning to to an ongoing police investigation.
Eastbound Portage Avenue is closed at Arlington Street and Arlington Street is closed north of Portage Avenue.
ROAD CLOSURE: Due to an ongoing investigation, eastbound Portage Av near Arlington St. is closed to traffic. North and southbound Arlington St., just north or Portage Av. is also closed. Please avoid the area, and consider an alternate route. #winnipeg #WPGtraffic #WPGTMC

The Winnipeg Police Service is asking motorists to avoid the area and find another route.
It is unclear as to how long the closure is expected to last.
