A section of Highway 1 is closed Friday morning following a serious crash.
The crash, which caused both vehicles to burst into flames, happened just before 4 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Highway 1 between Highway 206 and Deacon’s Corner.
As a result, Highway 1 is closed at Highway 206. A detour is in place. However, traffic delays are expected in the area.
There is no word on injuries or how long the closure will remain in place.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and find another route.
