Several Manitoba highways closed Monday following snowstorm

A low-pressure system rolled through the province Sunday morning into Sunday evening leaving behind significant snowfall. 

This has led to treacherous driving conditions Monday morning and the closure of several highways. 

As of 5 a.m. the following highways are closed.

  • Highway 5 from 353 to Neepawa
  • Highway 5 from Grandview to Ste. Rose
  • Highway 5 from Ochre River to Kelwood
  • Highway 10 from Minnedosa to Erikson
  • Highway 10 from Riding Mountain Park to Cowan
  • Highway 16 from Gladstone to Neepawa
  • Highway 50 from Silver Ridge to McCreary
  • Highway 68 from Ste. Rose to Narrows
  • Highway 276 from Ste. Rose to Toutes Aide
  • Highway 278 from Hwy 50 to Ebb and Flow
  • Highway 276 from Ste. Rose to Toutes Aide
  • Highway 362 from Dauphin to Sifton

The southbound lanes of Highway 7 are also closed between Road 74N and Road 72N near Stonewall. This is due to a collision. 

Motorists are encouraged to use caution and drive to the conditions.
