Snowfall warning issued as system brings up to 10 cm of snow to parts of Manitoba

A snowfall warning has been issued for the southern Red River Valley as a low-pressure system moves through the province.

The system will dump around 10cm of snow on areas of southern Manitoba from the Saskatchewan border into Morden and Altona.

Environment Canada says most of the snow has fallen in southwestern Manitoba, with another couple of centimetres or so expected before the storm rolls out.

The snowfall is expected to lighten up throughout the morning and end early this afternoon.

Winnipeg is not included in the warning. However, we can expect to see a few centimetres of snow as the system moves north, dropping a light dusting over the city.
