Steinbach RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a woman who had been brought to a local hospital.
On July 27, police arrived to the hospital after the adult female had been hitchhiking on Highway 1 by Highway 12. The female appeared to be in distress, so a passerby picked her up and brought her to the hospital.
The female was released the next day on July 28 but has no identification and no ability to provide her information to police and had nowhere to go. Steinbach RCMP has been housing her, and hoping that with the public’s assistance, she can be identified to get the care that she needs and either go home or get a placement with a community organization.
