Waverley West residents to see traffic disruptions with installation of interim modular WFPS station

People living in Waverley West can expect traffic disruptions in their neighbourhood this week as the city delivers a new interim modular Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service station.

While the station is being delivered and assembled, the southbound lanes of Eaglewood Drive from Skyline Drive to the Element on the Eaglewood complex entrance will be closed.

The sidewalk on the west side of Eaglewood Drive will also be closed and pedestrians will be encouraged to walk on the east sidewalk.

The closure will begin Thursday, Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. and remain in place until Saturday, Oct. 19 at 8 p.m.

Construction crews will assemble the station at 130 Eaglewood Drive immediately after delivery.

Residents in the Waverley West neighbourhood will see traffic disruptions beginning the night of Thursday, October 17, to allow for the delivery of the new interim modular Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service station.

As a safety precaution, residents are asked to avoid the area until the work has been completed.
