Wednesday morning fire forces road closure in Winnipeg’s Glenelm neighbourhood

A Wednesday morning fire in Winnipeg’s Glenelm neighbourhood has forced a road closure in the area.

The alarm for the fire on Cobourg Avenue went off around 6:40 a.m.

Witnesses say it appears to have spread from one house to the homes on either side.

Images from the scene show heavy smoke in the area as firefighters work to extinguish the blaze.

Cobourg Avenue is closed between Beatrice Street and Henderson Highway.
