Winnipeg police have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection to a number of cats that were found dead.
CTV News Winnipeg previously reported that approximately six cats were found in bags on the path under the Summit Road bridge.
The animals were found on Dec. 8, Dec. 28, and Dec. 30.
Police were able to identify a suspect and he was arrested on Jan. 10.
Investigators said the man would lure the cats or get them through social media before injuring and killing them.
The man, who police did not identify, is now facing three counts of killing or injuring an animal.
He was released in an undertaking.
