Winnipeg police to provide information on ‘officer-involved critical incident’

The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) is set to provide information on an ‘officer-involved critical incident’ on Monday.

The WPS is holding a news conference at 9:15 a.m. at police headquarters to discuss the incident from Sunday that left an officer injured.

This news conference comes after the WPS announced that police shot and killed a suspect after an officer was stabbed in the throat on Sunday. Manitoba’s police watchdog is investigating.

This is a developing story. More details to come.
