Winnipeg cops searching residence as part of missing person investigation

Police said Wednesday afternoon that they’re in the process of searching a north Winnipeg home.

Const. Claude Chancy told media that officers are on-scene at a Selkirk Avenue property, and that the search is connected to the investigation into the long-term disappearance of Cody Harper.

Harper was first reported missing in early November 2021.

“The work that’s being done by our investigators is ongoing and every step is important,” Chancy said.

“Missing persons investigations, they’re multifaceted… every bit of information, every tip is followed up.”

Police said there’s no threat to public safety while the search takes place.
