The Ness location was selected for the franchise’s first licensed restaurant in Winnipeg due to strong local demand for their food and beverage menu items at the location, according to 7-Eleven Canada.
The Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority (LGCA) of Manitoba issued a general liquor license for the Ness location on June 3, and all staff at the location have received Smart Choices Certifications. All alcohol products at the location will be stored “under lock and key, accessible only to employees.”
“7-Eleven Canada has a strong age-restricted sales policy and program in place, its own beverage alcohol and foodservice training, limited hours of operation for beverage alcohol, and additional safety controls, including IDing anyone who looks 30 or younger,” 7-Eleven Canada said in their release.
