Yesterday at 2:09 a.m., the Winnipeg Police was dispatched to a beer vendor in 1600 block of Main Street after the report of an adult male armed with a shotgun was threatening employees. No shots were fired.
The suspect was inside the beer vendor and was asked to leave by security after causing a disturbance. He left the building, retrieved a shotgun from his vehicle, and returned to the vendor. The suspect didn’t manage to re-enter the building and fled before police arrived.
The suspect and vehicle were identified by North District General Patrol officers. Later that morning, at approximately 8:25 a.m., officers located the suspect and vehicle in the 700 block of College Avenue. The 33-year-old man from Winnipeg was arrested without incident.
