A stabbing at The Forks in Winnipeg left a 25-year-old man with serious injuries.

Shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday, police said they found the victim suffering from upper-body stab wounds. Officers administered emergency medical care, including a chest seal, before the victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He was later upgraded to stable.
The investigation revealed that the victim and suspect knew each other and had been involved in a dispute that escalated into an assault with an unknown weapon. Security personnel at The Forks helped police locate the suspect, who was still in the area.
A 24-year-old male from Winnipeg has been charged with aggravated assault.
