Manitoba RCMP have laid charges against a truck driver and issued a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest after a collision at the Intersection of provincial roads 201 and 306 west of Altona claimed the lives of a mother and daughter.

On Wednesday RCMP charged Navjeet Singh, 25, of Brampton, Ont., with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death as well as obstructing a peace officer in relation to the Nov. 15 fatal two-vehicle collision in the RM of Rhineland.
Officers have attempted to locate Singh in Winnipeg without success and as a result, a Canada-Wide Warrant of Arrest has been issued.

RCMP said the tractor-trailer was travelling east on PR 201 when it ran a stop sign and struck an SUV heading south on PR 306.
The 35-year-old driver of the SUV died at the scene. Her eight-year-old daughter was rushed to the hospital by STARS but she did not survive.
Singh was treated for injuries at the hospital and released.
The RCMP investigation is ongoing.
