Earlier this week around 5:50 a.m. on Monday, The Pas RCMP got a report of shots fired at a home in The Pas.
When police got to the scene, they were told that the home had been struck multiple times by gunfire and that shots had entered the home, but no one inside was injured.
Witnesses in the area also reported seeing two males, dressed all in black, running from the scene to a black Dodge Ram pickup truck.
Later that day, around 4:30 p.m., the Opaskwayak Cree Nation (OCN) Detachment of the Manitoba First Nations Police Service (MFNPS) said they got a call about a 35-year-old Flin Flon man who reported being robbed and shot. The victim, according to police was transported to hospital and later air lifted to Winnipeg’s Health Science Centre where he’s in stable condition.

Suspects fled the scene in a black Dodge Ram truck, according to police, and RCMP said they believed the incidents were related.
Police said the black Dodge Ram was seen near the OCN home, and intruders forced their way inside, demanded property from the victim and several shots were fired inside the home.
MFNPS said negotiations continued for several hours assisted by the RCMP Emergency Response Team, K9 services, Remote Piloted Aircraft System and The Pas RCMP detachment.
At around 5:30 p.m., a search warrant for the residence was executed. Five occupants were taken into custody, “two of which were responsible for the shooting,” MFNPS alleged.
Two men were arrested, and both face a lengthy list of criminal charges, and in total police say four people have been arrested as a result of the search warrant and are facing several charges, and all four remain in custody.
MFNPS said they believe the shooting was targeted and that the suspects and victims knew each other.
MFNPS say they continue to investigate, and are expecting “additional charges” will be laid, and anyone with information is asked to call their OCN detachment at 204-623-8201, or the MFNPS TIP line at 1-833-978-0048.
