Rollins, who has served on the EPC as chair of the property and planning committee, submitted her resignation effective immediately.

Her brief letter to the mayor read: “Dear Mayor Gillingham, Thank you for the opportunity to serve as Chair of Property & Development. Please accept this letter of resignation from your Executive Policy Committee effective immediately.”

Rollins has represented Fort Rouge-East Fort Garry since 2018 and was previously part of former Mayor Brian Bowman’s cabinet. It is understood that Rollins and Gillingham did not align on certain issues, though specifics remain undisclosed.

The resignation leaves a vacancy in the mayor’s inner circle, which advises on key city policies. Rollin’s departure follows a series of challenges with the property and planning department, raising questions about his ability to maintain unity within his leadership team.

The mayor’s office has not provided further details about the resignation or plans for Rollins’ replacement.
