Death of man in Thompson suspected to be a homicide

Police say the body of a 28-year-old man discovered in Thompson last week is now being treated as a homicide. They’re asking the public for information as they continue to investigate the mans’ death.

According to Manitoba RCMP, on Nov. 28 around 2:50 p.m., Thompson RCMP responded to a report of a dead male discovered outside of a home on Pipe Road in the northern Manitoba city of Thompson.

Officers went to the home and discovered a 28-year-old male who was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police. Police say that the cause of death remains under investigation as they await results from an autopsy, but added it is currently believed the death “was the result of a homicide.”
