Tina Pascu of Deloraine won $100,000 on the EXTRA lottery.

Pascu, who regularly buys lottery tickets, checked her numbers early in the morning and initially thought she had won $1,000.

“I thought it was $1,000 – and I was happy with that!” she said.

She shared the news with her partner, who suggested she double-check.

“He told me to have another coffee and look again,” Pascu laughed. The second look confirmed the much larger win.

“I don’t have definite plans for the money yet,” Pascu said, adding that she will likely save it for retirement. Her previous largest prize had been $20.

Pascu won by matching the last six digits of the EXTRA numbers on the July 26 Lotto Max draw. She purchased her ticket at Sobeys Brandon South on 18th Street in Brandon.
