RCMP arrested three in the RM of Gimili after a dog was shot during a home invasion on Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., on Saturday Gimli RCMP responded to a report of gunshots from a residence located on Highway 8 in the RM of Gimli.
Police said three men cam to the residence, threatened the male occupant and kicked in the front door. Before fleeing, the victim’s dogs chased the suspects, one of which was shot resulting in injuries to the animal.
Police located the three suspects at a residence that was being rented out in Gimli.
A search warrant was executed at the residence and RCMP seized a .357 Magnum, $17,000 in cash and a variety of prescription medication.
All three suspects were arrested without incident at this residence.
Gimli RCMP charged two Mississauga, Ont., men aged 23, 18, and 17-year-old male youth with break and enter, assault, reckless discharge of a firearm, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, as well as various drug trafficking offences.
They are in custody.
RCMP said this incident was not random and there is no threat to the public. The investigation continues.
