It’s one of five signature events celebrating the sounds, sights and tastes of the season, the BIZ said in a news release, and runs through the end of August at five separate locations.

The Summer Farmers’ Market goes Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Manitoba Hydro Place starting on June 13 until mid-September and includes more indoor space this season.

The Dog Days of Summer market happens at True North Square Plaza on July 11 and Aug. 8, with treats, toys and accessories available plus puddle pools for the pets. Animal rescues will be on site with adoption options.

Free Downtown Family Movie nights are Aug. 15 and Aug. 30, with titles expected to be announced in July.

And, once a month into October, a Chinatown & Dim Sum tour led by Carter Chen will work its way through the historic neighbourhood and some of its culinary stops.
