A Calgary man was arrested and police seized drugs, guns and cash this week after a home was raided in northern Manitoba.

On Monday, as part of what Manitoba RCMP say has been an “ongoing” investigation, Thompson Rural RCMP entered a home in the community of Split Lake to remove what police said was a non-resident who was believed to be trafficking drugs in the community.
According to RCMP, officers searched the home and found and arrested a male suspect hiding in a room.
When searching the home, police said they discovered and seized a stolen handgun, 408 grams of drugs believed to be cocaine, 319 grams of drugs believed to be crack, a large amount of Canadian currency, scales, and multiple cell phones.
RCMP say that a 26-year-old man from Calgary has been charged with 11 offences including, possession for the purpose of trafficking, resist/obstruct peace officer, and possession of weapon obtained by crime.
The man has been remanded into custody and no allegations have been tested in court, while police say their investigation continues.
