EYE ON CRIME: Crime Stoppers asks for public’s help to find suspect in restaurant incident, shoplifter

Winnipeg Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in an incident at a restaurant and a shoplifter. To help generate tips, Crime Stoppers released photos.

An unknown female attended to a restaurant in the 800 block of Sargent on June 25, and demanded free food from the employees working there, Crime Stoppers said. When the suspect was refused her demanded food, she allegedly began to throw items at the employees causing damage and an injury to one victim that required medical attention. The suspect then fled before police could arrive.

An unknown male attended to retail store in the 800 block of McPhillips on June 10, and selected merchandise from the counters. The suspect then allegedly began to exit the store without paying for this merchandise but was confronted by a store employee, Crime Stoppers said. The suspect then threatened the employee, who backed off, before fleeing the area.
