EYE ON CRIME: Crime Stoppers asks for public’s help to find suspects in shoplifting incidents

Winnipeg Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in locating suspects wanted in a pair of shoplifting incidents. To help generate tips, Crime Stoppers released photos.

An unknown person attended to a convenience store in the 100 block of Salter on May 9, and began to select merchandise, Crime Stoppers said. The suspect then allegedly began to leave the store with the unpaid merchandise causing a store employee to attempt to stop him. At this point the suspect produced a knife and threatened the staff before fleeing.

An unknown person attended to a retail store in the 1500 block of Regent Avenue West and selected merchandise before attending to one of the emergency exits on May 6. The suspect was confronted by a store employee who the suspect allegedly assaulted and then threatened before fleeing, Crime Stoppers said.
