When crews arrived to the scene Saturday morning, they found smoke coming from the remaining structure, with visible flames on the interior, officials said. A defensive fire attack was launched, as it was not safe to enter the building. Crews were expected to remain on scene throughout the afternoon as they work to drown out the fire.

Logan, between Arlington Street and McPhillips Street, remained closed until crews clear the scene. Residents were asked to avoid the area. Railway traffic on an adjacent track has been stopped as a precaution.

At this time, no injuries have been reported.

The fire is under investigation.
