Crews worked through the night to bring the blazes under control, and no injuries were reported.

The first fire occurred in a commercial warehouse at 6:56 p.m. on Edwin Street. After bringing the fire under control, a search found no occupants.

At 8:13 p.m., a fire was reported on Dearborn Street in a single-family bungalow. Flames had spread to a neighbouring house by the time crews arrived. Both properties’ occupants evacuated safely before the crews declared the fire under control at 8:44 p.m. The City’s Emergency Social Services team was called to assist displaced residents.

At 11:54 p.m., crews were dispatched to a vacant two-storey house on Westminster Avenue. Smoke and flames were visible, and the fire was controlled by 12:43 a.m. No one was inside the structure, previously damaged in two fires in 2022 and 2023. Authorities remind residents to report suspicious activity around vacant structures to prevent further incidents.

At 1:25 a.m., a fire broke out on Kinkora Drive, engulfing the attached garage of a two-story house in flames. The fire extended to the house, but crews were able to contain it by 2:41 a.m. All occupants were safely evacuated.

The final fire occurred at 2:41 a.m. on Polson Avenue. Crews found a garage fully ablaze, with fire spreading to a second garage. Firefighters declared the situation under control by 3 a.m. Investigations are ongoing for all five fires, and damage estimates are yet to be released.
