For the second time in five months, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews were called to a fire in a vacant, single-storey house on Aberdeen Avenue.

At around 8:41 a.m., Saturday, crews attended to the house in the 600 block of Aberdeen where firefighters found smoke coming from the structure. They entered and fought the fire from the interior, declaring the fire under control at just before 9 a.m., officials said.

Crews completed a search of the house and no occupants were found. There were no injuries reported.

The fire is under investigation. The house was previously damaged by fire in February. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
