A hit-and-run collision Thursday morning on Wellington Crescent has claimed the life of a 61-year-old cyclist.

A suspect vehicle has been recovered, Winnipeg Police said in a news release Thursday, after a cyclist headed east on Wellington Crescent near Cockburn Street North was struck by a vehicle headed the same direction.
The man was taken to hospital in critical condition and died in hospital.
The investigation continues, with the Winnipeg Police Service asking anyone with information on the fatal hit-and-run, including possible dash camera footage or home surveillance, to contact the traffic division at 204-986-7065 or anonymously with Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477 or winnipegcrimestoppers.org.
