A 59-year-old man from Killarney was killed when his truck hit a bridge railing, rolled and collided with an SUV on Saturday night, RCMP said.

Killarney RCMP were alerted to an erratic driver in a grey pickup truck on Highway 23 near the community of Belmont at about 10:05 p.m. Saturday. Officers en route came across a two-vehicle collision on Highway 23 just east of the community of Ninette at the bridge.

RCMP believe the westbound truck driven by the 59-year-old lost control and struck the concrete portion of the bridge railing, causing it to roll. It then collided with an eastbound SUV with three occupants, none of which were injured. The 59-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

RCMP continue to investigate.
