This past year has been a time of challenges and opportunities. Through it all, your faith in us has remained steadfast. To every reader, advertiser, and supporter, your trust is what drives us forward. It’s what motivates our team to deliver news that is fair, accurate, and reflective of the vibrant community we call home.

As the holiday season approaches, I am reminded of the timeless tradition of Christmas. It is a season that brings families and friends together, a time to reflect on the blessings we have and to share kindness with others. The spirit of giving and togetherness that defines this season is something we should carry with us throughout the year.

We will not be printing on December 25th, 26th, or 27th to allow our staff to spend quality time with their families. However, we will continue to keep you informed online at winnipegsun.com and through our many social media channels. Thank you for your understanding and support as we prioritize this special time for our team.

I also want to express my gratitude personally. Serving this city in the past as MLA and City Councillor has been an incredible honour and privilege. I remain committed to being a voice for our community to hold people in positions of power accountable to ensure a better life for us all. Winnipeg has great potential, and together, we can unlock it.

As we navigate these times, let us continue to show understanding and compassion for one another. Thank you to those on the front lines for your tireless efforts. Thank you to all of you for being part of this journey.
