The facility will provide long-term care for seniors in Lac du Bonnet and nearby communities, addressing a long-standing need in the region. This development is part of a broader government initiative to increase the availability of long-term care beds across Manitoba.
The project had been delayed in the past, but its revival marks a step forward in delivering care and keeping seniors close to their families and support systems. This milestone comes after decades of advocacy by local seniors, families, and municipal leaders.
