Upon arrival, officers found a 47-year-old man injured at the scene. Police provided emergency care and the victim was taken to hospital, where he was treated and released.

Investigators said the man had been driving a pickup truck involved in a collision with an SUV. Following the crash, the SUV pursued the victim to a residence, where a man exited the vehicle, produced a firearm, and shot at the victim. A neighbouring home was also struck by gunfire, though no one inside was hurt.

After the shooting, the SUV fled and was later located on Pike Crescent. Witnesses reported seeing a man and a woman entering a nearby residence. The home was surrounded, and three individuals were taken into custody. However, none were found to be involved in the incident, and they were released. The suspects were not found inside the residence.

Thompson RCMP are continuing their search for the two suspects involved in the shooting. At this time, police do not have confirmed descriptions of the suspects.
