Today Finance Minister Adrien Sala announced the addition of 10,000 full-time jobs across the province in November, according to the latest Labour Force Survey released by Statistics Canada.

“In the last month alone, the province has added thousands of good jobs for Manitobans,” Sala said. “Our government is working across industries to grow the economy, increase productivity and attract more investments to our province. These latest numbers show our economic plan is working for Manitobans.”
Last month, the Manitoba government unveiled a new critical minerals strategy to position the province as a reliable trading partner to supply the world with critical minerals and attract new investments. Earlier this year, the Manitoba government invested $23.4 million in NFI Group to create hundreds of good jobs in Winnipeg.
According to the survey, Manitoba’s employment growth outpaced the national average, while Manitoba’s unemployment rate remained below the national rate.

“Our government has managed to keep inflation and unemployment low,” Sala said. “By focusing on making life affordable and creating jobs, we’re delivering a stronger economy for Manitobans.”
The Manitoba government’s throne speech also announced plans for an economic development strategy focused on increasing productivity.
