“This investment underscores our commitment to supporting Indigenous entrepreneurs in Manitoba,” said Minister Bushie. “Mittohnee Pogo’ohtah, which means ‘this is where you do it correctly’ in Cree, will facilitate connections between Indigenous entrepreneurs and community leaders, fostering innovation and job creation.”

The program will offer on-the-job training, mentorship, networking opportunities, and financial support for viable business ideas. Approximately 200 participants are expected to enrol, benefiting Indigenous RRC Polytech students, entrepreneurs, and community members alike.

Jamie Wilson, vice-president of Indigenous strategy, research, and business development at RRC Polytech, emphasized the program’s role in fostering economic reconciliation.
