Manitoba invests in export support for local businesses

The Manitoba government is providing $86,000 through its Export Support Programming to help 19 small and medium-sized businesses expand into new markets. The investment comes as companies prepare for potential U.S. tariffs that could impact trade.

The funding will assist businesses in industries such as agriculture, manufacturing, education, and bio-environmental. The program offers financial support for companies to attend trade shows and participate in trade missions outside Manitoba. The goal is to help businesses strengthen existing markets and enter new ones.

For the 2024-25 period, selected businesses will receive funding to support their efforts in reaching international customers. The program is designed to help companies develop business relationships, increase sales, and grow Manitoba’s presence in global markets.
