Essential mail includes cheques, court orders, medical supplies, educational materials, and items needed for health-care services. Provincial departments have prepared for potential disruptions by holding essential mail and redirecting it to the designated locations.

A complete list of locations, the types of mail available, and additional details can be found at www.manitoba.ca/postaldisruption.

Those picking up mail must provide one piece of photo identification or two non-photo forms of identification that display their name and address. Manitobans can also drop off letters for provincial departments at these sites, ensuring they include the specific department name, room number, and address.

The government has committed to handling all mail with care and security.
