According to the latest data from the Angus Reid Institute, Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew continues to maintain strong approval ratings, with two-thirds (66%) of Manitobans supporting his leadership. This places him at the top of the premier performance rankings alongside Newfoundland and Labrador’s Andrew Furey, who saw a significant eight-point increase to achieve majority approval (55%).
Meanwhile, the spotlight intensifies on premiers facing declining approval ahead of upcoming elections. Saskatchewan’s Scott Moe holds steady with a 49% approval rating, showing a slight dip from previous highs. David Eby of British Columbia, amidst speculation as elections approach, has experienced a five-point drop in approval to 43%, reflecting ongoing challenges since assuming office. In Ontario and Nova Scotia, where early election talks circulate, Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston enjoys stronger approval at 44%, outpacing Ontario Premier Doug Ford, who holds a 31% approval rating.
