When they arrived, police found a man asleep in a 2011 Chevrolet Express van. They woke him and arrested him without incident. During the arrest, officers found a sheathed hunting knife on him. When police searched a duffle bag he had and found a sawed-off shotgun, 12-gauge ammunition, and multiple break-in tools, all of which were seized as evidence.

Police determined that the suspect had broken into the vehicle and caused extensive damage to the steering column before falling asleep at the wheel.
