Police’s Most Wanted site produces early arrest

Within 24 hours of a press conference highlighting the Manitoba Integrated Violent Offender Apprehension Unit (MIVOAU) and the Manitoba’s Most Wanted list, Winnipeg police received a tip leading to the arrest of a wanted individual.

A 27-year-old Winnipeg man was apprehended by MIVOAU. He had six outstanding warrants for breaching court orders and now faces three new charges for additional breaches. Onabigon has been detained in custody.

The Winnipeg Police Service said they appreciate the public’s quick response. Information regarding individuals on Manitoba’s Most Wanted list can be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS or winnipegcrimestoppers.org.
