Police arrested 21 men as part of an operation targeting sexual exploitation in Brandon.

Project Blockade took place over two days last week and involved the Brandon Police Service, RCMP, and the Winnipeg Police Service’s counter-exploitation unit.

“The investigation focused on street level as well as online sexual exploitation,” the BPS said Tuesday in a news release.

Arrests for obtaining sexual services for consideration or communicating in any place for that purpose were made in the downtown area and in local hotels.

Nine vehicles were seized under the Highway Traffic Act. All accused were released on undertakings.
