RCMP hunt for suspect after armed robbery in Beausejour

Beausejour RCMP are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday, at approximately 10:30 p.m. at a business in Beausejour.

When officers arrived, the suspect had already fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

RCMP said a male suspect entered the store with a bandana covering his face and demanded money from an employee while brandishing what was described as a black handgun. The employee was not physically injured.

The suspect is described as being in his mid-30s, tall, and weighing around 200 pounds. He was wearing a red hoodie with the hood pulled up, a white bandana over his face, a blue plaid jacket, red sweatpants with a large black spider design on the knee, and gray/brown skate shoes. The suspect was last seen heading north on foot.

It is unclear whether the suspect acted alone or if others were involved.

The investigation is ongoing.
