In December 2023, three children were reported missing in Durham, Ontario, near Toronto. They were found last Sunday but disappeared again.

On June 16, the three boys — Leon (12), Christopher (11), and Thomas (9) — and their mother, 55-year-old Astrid Schiller, were found at the Boissevain Port of Entry in Manitoba. RCMP said they were attempting to cross into the United States.

The boys were placed in a home, and Schiller, who had a warrant for child abduction in Ontario, was arrested. She was later released as the warrant did not apply in Manitoba.

Around 1:30 a.m. Monday, police were notified that the boys were missing again from Forrest, Manitoba, the home they’d been placed in, and were believed to be travelling with their mother.

Police said Schiller was driving a 2018 white Mercedes GLC with a British Columbia license plate SJ975W, which was found in the Saskatchewan park in Cypress Hills.

Officers reported that the children and their mother have not been found but believe Schiller might have been seen in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, last week.

An Amber Alert has not been issued as there is no evidence the children are in danger, and Schiller’s warrant does not extend into Saskatchewan.
