Winnipeg Police responded to a stabbing Tuesday evening in an apartment complex on Edmonton Street. A 30-year-old male with lacerations to his upper body was found in a common area. The victim, a security guard at the complex, was taken to hospital in stable condition.
An initial investigation found that the guard became involved in a verbal dispute with an adult female suspect. The confrontation escalated, with the suspect using a sharp-edged weapon to assault the victim before fleeing the scene. Police confirmed the victim and suspect were not previously known to each other.
