A 27-year-old Selkirk man has been charged with five armed robberies at a pair of businesses in that city last fall.
RCMP said in a news release Wednesday that each time between Aug. 31 and Sept. 15, 2023, a man entered the businesses with his face covered, pulled out a knife, and demanded money.
After a lengthy investigation, the man was arrested July 27 and charged with five counts each of robbery with a weapon, disguised with intent to commit an offence, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was also charged with uttering threats.
The man is in custody.
