Several charges stem from RCMP response to threat complaint

Gypsumville RCMP responded to a threats complaint on July 4, which led to the execution of a search warrant and subsequent arrest of a 35-year-old male in possession of firearms and illicit substances.

At approximately 2:50 p.m., RCMP received a report that threats were made towards a community member. The investigation revealed that the suspect, prohibited from firearm possession, was unlawfully holding multiple firearms at his residence on Memorial Crescent in Lake St Martin.

Following a traffic stop on July 5, along Provincial Road 513, officers arrested the individual for Uttering Threats. A search uncovered a quantity of cocaine, leading to his immediate detention.

With support from the RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT), officers executed a search warrant at the Memorial Crescent residence. Inside, they seized three firearms, ammunition, cash, drugs, pills, and related paraphernalia.

The 35-year-old suspect faces multiple charges including uttering threats, possession of property obtained by crime, and unsafe storage of firearms. He remains in custody.
